Import Your Data into KRM (and Save Field Mappings)

Bring your contacts, companies, and properties into RealNex KRM from Excel โ€” and save your field mappings so every future import takes minutes, not hours.

โฑ About 10 min ๐Ÿ“ฆ Module: KRM
  1. Prepare your file: work in Excel, one data type per sheet (Contacts, Companies, Properties, Spaces), with column headers that match KRM fields. Remove duplicates, empty rows, and stray formatting.
  2. In KRM, go to Tools > Import and select the data type you're uploading (Contacts, Projects, Companies, Properties, etc.).
  3. Select your prepared Excel file and start the import with Auto Map.
  4. Review the auto-mapped fields carefully โ€” adjust any columns that didn't align, especially addresses, phone numbers, and deal fields.
  5. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Map. Give it a descriptive name like "Retail Contacts Import."
  6. Run the import, then spot-check a handful of records to confirm the data landed where you expected.
  7. Next time, select your saved mapping at import and skip the setup entirely.
๐Ÿ’ก Mentor tip

Clean data in, clean data out. Ten minutes of Excel cleanup before importing saves hours of KRM cleanup after.
